Andros , an island of the Greek archipelago, the most northerly of the Cyclades, approximately 10 km (6 miles) south east of Evia, and about 3 km (2 mi) north of Tinos. It is nearly 40 km
(25 mi) long, and its greatest breadth is 16 km (10 mi). Its surface is for the most part mountainous, with many fruitful and well-watered valleys.
Andros island Can be reached from the port of Rafina with two - five crossing daily, depending on the time of the year. There are also at least three daily ferry boat connections from the islands of Tinos and Myconos. The distance is 36 nautical miles and is covered in either one or two hours depending on the type of vessel. Rafina is situated 30 km from Athens and 10 Km from the Athens international airport. Both are connected by regular bus services to Rafina.
